The IDEA League is happy to announce we will organise a new Doctoral School: the Doctoral School on Transiently Powered Computing! The goal of the IDEA league doctoral school on Transiently Powered Computing (TPC 2017) is to survey fundamental and applied aspects of systems operating over time-varying and unpredictable energy sources, as well as to identify novel opportunities and research directions in this area through a series of lectures by international experts. Participants will also experience the relevant technologies during hands-on hackathons and be given a chance to present their own work during a dedicated poster session. The school will provide attendees with a great opportunity to meet distinguished scholars and to establish contacts that may lead to research collaborations in the future. The intended audience are postgraduate students, PhD students, and young researchers from universities and industrial labs around the world.
Unlike previous Doctoral Schools, this school will not consist of multiple weekends at the different partner universities, but of one conference, directly following the ACM SenSys. It is taking place at the TU Delft, Netherlands, from 8th to 10th of November 2017. Applications are open until July 18, 2017.
