Short-term Research Exchange Grants
Would you like to do a short-term research exchange at one of our partner universities? IDEA League offers more than 180 monthly grants for bachelor’s and master’s students as well as PhD candidates to do just that. These grants, awarded based on academic merit, are generally €300 – €600 per month depending on the home university of the applicant and the anticipated living costs at the hosting university. Research exchanges from 2 weeks to 6 months are covered, with strong preference given to short-time periods.
To qualify for a short-term research exchange grant you must be affiliated with one of the IDEA League partner universities.
Work with your supervisor to define a project and find the most suitable partner, with consideration to existing contacts and cooperation within the IDEA League. Your supervisor should be the one to make contact with the academic at the chosen IDEA League partner university.
The partner universities will provide all of the information you need on the application procedures. For further information click the respective partner university here: TU Delft, ETH Zurich, RWTH Aachen, Chalmers and Politecnico di Milano.
BSc & MSc Thesis Projects and Internships
Are you looking for a bachelor’s or master’s thesis or an internship? Together with SiROP, IDEA League promotes and manages mobility opportunities between our member universities.
To qualify for this you must be affiliated with one of the IDEA League partner universities.
If you are affiliated with one of the partnered institutions you can login to Sirop, search for opportunities, apply for summer schools, or see our open projects.
Funds for Study Association Joint Projects
Do you have an idea that would benefit the students of IDEA League partner universities? If so, consider applying for funding of up to €3000 to pursue a joint study association project. We welcome any proposal that will contribute to stimulating and strengthening the cooperation between IDEA League partners.
The Operations Board of the IDEA League, which selects which projects will be funded, meets just a few times a year. For that reason, applications should be handed in well in advance considering two deadlines: 15 September and 15 March.
To qualify for this fund you must be affiliated with one of the IDEA League partner universities.
Before applying for a grant, please read IDEA League Study Associations Grant Requirements. Then, fill out the application form and email it to the Secretary General at J.L.Zachariah@tudelft.nl. After the event, you will need to fill out the review form and email it to J.L.Zachariah@tudelft.nl.
